Buttler was the star with an unbeaten 77 from 54 balls as England chased down 158 with ease to clinch the second T20I, and with it the series as well. He had also contributed a crucial 44 from 29 in the first T20I, which England won off the last ball ater being on the back foot for most part of the game. The third and final match will be held at Southampton on Tuesday.
While the ECB did not reveal why exactly Buttler left the bubble, it issued a statement saying that the dynamic batsman should be back in the mix for the one-day series against the Australians starting on Friday, provided he clears the testing procedures in place.
"England batsman Jos Buttler left the bio-secure bubble yesterday evening following the team's victory over Australia to be with his family," the ECB statement read.
"Buttler, subject to testing, will return to the bio-secure bubble on Thursday ahead of the first ODI of the Royal London Series at Emirates Old Trafford on Friday," the statement further added.
Meanwhile, England will be looking for a clean sweep when they take on the Aussies in the third and final T20I of the series on Tuesday.
